Cartagena rock group THE VICE Hounds will be the star of the week on "We are nothing", issued in Radio MareaRock. The show airs every Wednesday at 19h and Friday at 21h (R), and can be heard on 87.5 FM and online through the web www.marearock.com / radio.php .
The program can listen to some tracks from his latest album, "Censorship," which has been chosen as "album of the week" by the program. Published in October 2010, the album consists of thirteen tracks halfway between punk and hard rock, following true to the original style and presented in "Model 2007." All songs were composed by the Pack of vice, with the exception of track 12, "How to laugh mountains, where the Pack of vice puts music to a poem by Charles Bukowski. The composition of the thirteen songs have been very careful, both in the music department and in relation to the letters, resulting in a much more mature album than his previous work.
The tour "Censorship" began in October 2010 with an exclusive concert in his hometown of Cartagena, and will be refreshed January 2011 to fill the band for most of that year. On the set list from the tour appear almost every item of his latest album, plus some unreleased songs and a good collection of versions of other groups among which we cite BARRICADA, MOTÖRHEAD, SCAR, VOMITING, PARABELLUM or MCD. Also, in some of their live will be accompanied by ADEL LARBI and P SOLVER, two Hip-Hop musicians to collaborate on tour playing with the pack of vice his song "Sahara, despite the wounds."
Formed in Cartagena a few years ago, the pack of vice released his first album in 2007. This first recording was very well received by the public and the press, publishing 1500 copies that were distributed throughout the state and sold out in just a few months. During that year, and also in early 2008, also published some reviews and interviews in various media, both print and online, giving account of the better expectations about the band.
The style of the pack of vice is halfway between Hard Rock and Punk, resulting in an aggressive and powerful sound. Poetic lyrics and combative at the same time. Live strong and overwhelming. This is how we could better define these five Cartagena still at war with more bad host that ever, with the batteries fully charged and with a mouth full of words like bullets fired.
