The Grapes of Wrath, a film based on the novel by Steinbeck, is about the internal migration of peasants forced off their land in the Great Depression of the thirties of the twentieth century in America. Whole families, with everything in tow, they head to California, where they hope to find his modest paradise, a place where jobs, food, housing. During the crisis of capital, immigration policies increasingly harsh and destruction of the countryside, here and now, movie-and the novel brings many elements with which to analyze this historical period and our present.
